Armonia's work can best be described through the eyes of those who live daily in the stressful and dangerous conditions of the five ravines, leading west of downtown Mexico City, or those in the northern edge of the city heading towards the ancient pyramids at Santa Cruz, or again those who are the latest to be touched through Armonia's work amongst the indigenous families from the Zapotec speaking regions of Oaxaca.
There are also the stories of those from other parts of the world, particularly those coming from settled neighbourhoods of affluence and comfort, in the UK and other countries, as they spend a few days or sometimes many months, living alongside the Mexican poor. Transformation is experienced by these visitors and volunteers as well, and their stories are part of the Good News.
This blog will be a "sticky ball" attracting comment and collecting stories as we celebrate twenty years of one remarkable Christian ministry amongst some of the poorest people on the planet. Stories from the beginnings back in the 1980's can sit alongside anecdotes from the last few days. There are hundreds of us who have memories and experiences worth sharing.
